Huate couture meets high-tech in the Giorgio Armani–Samsung luxury mobile phone, the first in a series of collaborations between the two companies to develop portable and home consumer electronics products. First unveiled during Milan Women’s Fashion Week at the Armani/Teatro in end September this year, the phone is only as big as your credit card, and a mere 10.5 mm in thickness. Giorgio Armani was responsible for the design aesthetic of the phone while Samsung provided the technological know-how. Luxury phones will be developed for both the signature Giorgio Armani and lifestyle Emporio Armani brands. Other products in the offing include a designer LCD television, under the home interiors lifestyle brand, Armani/Casa, to be launched in January 2008.
